Summary

A leading international logistics company is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Logistics Coordinator to support import/export operations, customs clearance coordination, freight forwarding, and warehouse management. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of international shipments while working closely with customers, customs brokers, airlines, trucking companies, warehouses, and overseas partners.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Arrange customs clearance and communicate with customs brokers and government agencies as needed.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates to customers and overseas agents.
• Coordinate domestic transportation, warehouse operations, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including AWBs and related import/export documentation.
• Maintain inventory records and support warehouse, cooler, and freezer storage operations.
• Prepare quotations, review vendor invoices, and process customer billing.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and overseas partners.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. import/export regulations, TSA requirements, and customer procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by resolving shipment issues and responding promptly to inquiries.

Requirements

• Business-level Japanese and conversational or higher English proficiency.
• General knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding, or import/export operations.
• Experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, transportation, warehouse operations, or logistics coordination is preferred.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move boxes as needed.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required based on shipment schedules.
